THE BACKGROUND
Where This Started
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. From November through April, Cleveland winters destroyed vehicles. White road salt, brown slush, and relentless snow devoured paint. When spring arrived, Clevelanders wanted their cars spotless. That is where my experience with professional detailing began.
At a young age I detailed cars at my father's wholesale car business. After college, people started asking me directly: "Can you do my car, Steve?" That eventually led me to a large corporate dealership in Cleveland where I supervised twelve associates professionally detailing new, pre-owned, leased, and service department vehicles. At peak we were processing over 700 cars a month across that campus. I trained the team, ran the department, and learned every day what customer satisfaction actually means when it is your name on the work.
When I left the dealership, I went back to working for myself. In 2016 I started a professional ceramic coating business in Cleveland. When I moved to Pinellas County in 2020, I saw an opportunity that nobody was filling. Showing up on time at your location. Doing the work correctly. Shooting straight with the customer. That is still the whole business.
My father repeated one line to me every single day when I was detailing cars in his lot. God would approve it but he would deny it...Do it again. Do it again. Make it better. His voice is still in my head on every vehicle I work on. When I professionally ceramic coat your car, you get a piece of that standard.
ON FILM
The 1983 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and R.A.D.A.R.
A Hollywood production filmed in Dunedin, Florida needed a 1983 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz prepared and maintained throughout filming. The vehicle was driven by Dean Cain throughout the movie. Between takes, the production called on Steve to prep the vehicle. The director made one thing clear. The cameras used in film production reveal paint imperfections the naked eye cannot see. There was no margin for error. The paint had to be correct every time the cameras rolled. That is the standard this work is held to.

ON NATIONAL TELEVISION
Honda Motor Company Called
Honda Motor Company selected Resurrection Auto Detailing to prepare the vehicles used for a national television commercial. Every Honda vehicle used in the filming received paint correction and NanoPro Borograph ceramic coating. Every vehicle was prepped and maintained between commercial takes.
The commercial director stated that the cameras used in production reveal paint imperfections invisible to the naked eye. I made sure there were none.

Resurrection Auto Detailing was featured on Tan Talk Radio Network to discuss what separates a professional ceramic coating process from the quick one-hour jobs some owners are being sold and the DIY spray-ons sold online.
I explained why paint correction comes before ceramic coating or liquid PPF, how swirl marks, spider webbing, oxidation, and previous bad work have to be corrected before NanoPro Borograph is applied, and why the coating itself is actually the shortest part of the process.
I also talked about my work on restomod, classic, collector, and performance vehicles throughout Pinellas County and Tampa Bay, and why I refuse to coat over paint that is not corrected.

The Work Has Won
These are clients who brought their vehicles to shows and came home with hardware. The paint correction and ceramic coating was completed before the event. What the judges saw was the result of work done correctly before the vehicle ever left the driveway.
A car show judge evaluates paint under direct lighting with trained eyes at close range. There is no hiding shortcuts at that level.
